For people losing their speech —
and the people who love talking with them.

Rejoin the
conversation.

When speech becomes hard — ALS, Parkinson's, MS, a stroke — conversation starts moving on without you. Rejoin listens with you and has replies ready by the time the question ends. One tap, and it's spoken — in your voice.

Free to speak, forever. iPhone & iPad · iOS 17+

Rejoin's Speak screen mid-conversation: it heard 'Do you want to watch the game tonight?' and offers three tappable replies in the speaker's own style.

How Rejoin works

Conversation moves fast.
Now you do too.

Typing every word means answering questions a minute after they've moved on. Rejoin closes that gap — without ever speaking a word you didn't choose.

Listen

Replies, ready as the question ends.

While you're in a conversation, Rejoin listens alongside you. When someone asks you something, three replies appear — in your style, about your life. Tap one and it's said. Or ignore them all and type.

Choose your register: Quick, Warm, Funny, or Direct
Your typing is never touched, and nothing is spoken without your tap
Hard-to-understand speech? Rejoin learns your sounds and offers what you meant
The Speak screen during listening: a heard question with three tappable reply cards and a Reply-as tone control.

Sayings

Your words, one tap away.

A board of the things you actually say — big, instant, exactly where you left them. Rejoin notices the phrases you type often and offers to add them. You approve every one.

Speaks in under a fifth of a second — faster than a nod
Time-of-day aware: morning phrases in the morning
The Sayings board: a grid of large phrase tiles like 'I need help now', 'Yes', and 'I love you', with pinned favorites marked by a gold dot.

Routines

Direct your own care.

Bedtime, mornings, transfers — routines speak each step aloud in your voice, at your pace. The person helping you hears you, not a checklist.

Describe a routine roughly; Rejoin drafts the steps for your review
Designed for night use — a calm, dark player
The night routine player on a dark screen, speaking a bedtime step aloud: 'Please wipe the BiPAP mask before we put it on.'

Display

Loud room? Show it big.

One tap fills the screen with your message and flips it to face the person across the table. Restaurants, family dinners, hospital rooms — you're still in the room.

Display mode filling the screen with a message in huge text: 'Let's eat first — I'm starving.', with a Flip-to-them button.

Care

The paper logbook, retired.

An optional shared logbook for the people who help you. Two-tap logging, one-minute check-ins, and a handoff note written from the day's facts — never invented. You can turn the whole tab off.

Caregivers see what happened; you stay the author of your day
Check-ins use faces, not forms
The Care tab: a one-minute morning check-in card, a two-tap quick-log grid, and today's care timeline.

Privacy & trust

Your voice. Your words.
Your data. Yours.

Rejoin sits in the most intimate seat technology can occupy — it speaks for you. That demands stricter rules than ordinary apps live by.

Listening stays on this device
Speech is transcribed on your iPhone or iPad. Audio is never stored — not on the device, not anywhere.
Your voice never needs the internet
Typing, your sayings board, routines, and history all work fully offline. AI extras return when you're back.
One switch turns it all off
A single toggle severs every piece of personal context from AI. No buried settings, no dark patterns.
Nothing speaks without your tap
Suggestions are suggestions. Every word said aloud is a word you explicitly chose. That rule has no exceptions.

Rejoin started as one family's answer to ALS — built by a son so his dad could keep teasing his grandkids, keep calling the game, keep being himself at the table. Then we built it for every family at that table.

Questions

Asked often.

Who is Rejoin for?
Anyone whose speech is becoming hard to produce or hard to understand — ALS/MND, Parkinson's, MS, stroke dysarthria, cerebral palsy, laryngectomy, vocal cord injury. During setup you tell Rejoin what's making speech hard, and it tailors its defaults — bigger targets for tremor, picture cues after stroke, typing-first after laryngectomy.
Can it really use my own voice?
Yes. If you've banked a Personal Voice on your iPhone (Apple's built-in feature — about 15 minutes of reading, while speech is still comfortable), Rejoin speaks with it. Otherwise you choose from warm built-in voices, and you can switch any time.
Does it work without internet?
Everything you need to speak — typing, your sayings board, routines, history, display mode — works fully offline. AI suggestions quietly fall back to your most-used phrases and return when you're connected.
What happens to recordings of my conversations?
There are none. Speech is transcribed on your device and the audio is discarded immediately. Transcripts stay on your device, you can read everything Rejoin remembers, and one tap clears it.
Is it hard to set up for someone who isn't technical?
Setup is three minutes, and the first thing that happens is your first sentence spoken aloud. A family member can do the setup together with you — Rejoin has a dedicated helper path that keeps the speaker in charge.
Does it work on iPad?
Yes — iPad is Rejoin's favorite place. It has a dedicated table mode designed to be read from across a table, with bigger text and a layout for resting flat on a lap or table.
I'm a speech-language pathologist. Can I recommend this?
We'd love that. Rejoin complements formal AAC — it's built around conversation speed and dignity, with evidence-based defaults per condition. Write us at hello@rejoinvoice.com for a clinician walkthrough.
